Appearance |
A slight, slender young man who hasn't yet started to fill out into his length, Lami is a little taller than average already (5'11") and potentially not yet finished growing. He keeps his blond hair cut short and his fair skin is reflective of his tendancy to spend most of his time indoors.

Personality |
A bookworm through and through, Lami would love nothing more then to be allowed to stay in Harper lessons forever. Indeed, while he didn't apprentice formally with the craft, even now he spends most of his time with the Hold Harper - assisting where he can and learning what he can.
Outside of his books, he's a friendly enough individual - more inclined to keep to his existing friends and aquaintances, rather than seek out new ones - but he's polite enough if approached directly. Crowds and strangers make him mildly uncomfortable, but he's been raised to be polite and that carries him through where he needs it to. |

Time was a funny old concept, really. Quick to pass when you were enjoying yourself, yet something of a terrible drag when you were waiting for something.
Right now, Lamiriel was suffering through the latter - his hands folded on his lap as he barely resisted the urge to tap his foot against the leg of the table in front of him. Announcements, speaches and new assignments. None of it concerned him, but here he was, stuck sat through them all the same.
There was a million better things he could be doing. Instead, duty and politeness dictated he stay put, sitting quietly and respecting the master craftsmen who were really only doing their job. He couldn't really fault them, but that didn't mean that waiting for them to be done wasn't tedious.
"Not long now,"
Glancing at the apprentice seated next to him out of the corner of his eye, Lamiriel allowed himself to give only a tiny nod of acknowledgement. Even the other boy's whispered words had drawn a firm look from the senior apprentice at the head of the table and Lamiriel didn't fancy being drawn into any lectures later about showing due respect, etc etc etc.
He'd been there, heard those, and he also had better things to do than listen to them all over again.
It didn't stop him from privately envying his firelizard who'd been able to sneak off an escape the formalities however. What the blue was up to Lamiriel wasn't sure, but it was undoubtedly more interesting than this. From the feelings of contentment he was picking up from their bond, hopefully he was at least not causing mischief.
Though tidying up after the blue's mischief would probably have been more interesting than sitting listening to any more speeches.
"All right, that's enough for tonight, have a good evening everyone."
Resisting the urge to jump to his feet as many of those around him had, Lamiriel instead paused a moment, taking a small sip from his cup, before giving in an getting to his feet, moving calmly towards the door - offering small nods of greetings here and there but successfully keeping enough of a distance to prevent him being pulled into any conversations.
Again, better things to be doing than rehashing the announcements and postings that had just been made.
"May I use the workroom?" Pausing as he passed one of the journeymen responsible for his training, Lamiriel smiled at the expression of amused resignation that crossed the journeyman's face in response. Theryck wasn't going to object, Lamiriel was fairly certain, but it was still worth asking.
"Sure, I'll be along myself soon,"
Theryck wasn't one for missing the chance to get things done either and since there were still a few good hours before lights out, it made sense for them both to get things done - Lamiriel wasn't going to wait for the older crafter though, he might as well go and get the glows opened and the like.
